Studying engineering was once seen as a luxury, something only the brightest and wealthiest could pursue. Alternatively, nowadays, there are various interesting fields of study in engineering, such as mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, etc. For me, personally, it seems that mechanical engineering is more compelling and fascinating that any other kind of engineering. For the fact that it is one of the long-established and fundamental fields of engineering, hence there are a lot of improvements and innovations can be set up in this field. Mechanical engineering has a lot of interesting and promising future prospects to offer.
Since the past years up until now, mechanical engineers have had contributed prominent part in major vast invention, such as the Japanese JR-Maglev train which is capable to reach incredibly high speeds of up to 581 km/hour.Additionally in earlier era, mechanical engineers play a prominent part during the industrial revolution in Europe, they have built multi-industrial machineries and manufactures. Engineering development has advanced and become more elaborate in sync with technology, a lot major companies need someone who can handle the workload.
In my experience, being born in a family with background in physic, it is quite facile for me to gain any knowledge regarding this matter. My father has guided me through my studies in physic and mechanical knowledge. Upon reaching my teenage year, I gave myself to join robotic club at my school, in fact, I am the only girl at that class. It was such a wonderful experience, I was able to learn programming and make a compelling connection in this sector, besides, my family always told me that it would take years for individual to be proficient in this area, so if I have the opportunity to study engineering I will choose mechanical engineering therefore it is crucial for me to increase my knowledge and skill in this branch of science.
