As a well known university in Australia and the regions that surround it (SEA including Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia), which goes by unique principles and provides numerous programs that many other universities lack, Victoria University is definitely an excellent choice for overseas students (like myself) whom are looking forward to continue their studies overseas. As I have mentioned before this is due to the programs that the university offers towards their students, such as in the Law & Justice Department, students get to participate in real cases at the Sunshine and Werribee Magistrates’ Courts (or any other court partnerships). Therefore I am personally interested to enroll in Victoria University’s Law & Justice Department since I really value the learning experiences that are offered through numerous programs from the university.

First of all, Victoria University has a number of principles some of which are; active living, live long learning, work force development, sustainable industries, and livable cities. This serves as a vision for the university, as of which they would help students apply in their daily lives. As rare as it may be, these kinds of principles are very important towards one’s character and resolve, for it provides impetus. For example, I am a lawyer graduate from Victoria University, I would continue to battle numerous cases as a part of my live long learning principle to help improve my work force (or work quality). These principles would mold an individual into a much more self-sufficient, independent, and caring (self-aware) person in our society. Not limited to admirable principles, Victoria University also boasts its various overseas partner institutions throughout the globe.

These partner institutions cooperate in forms of programs, such as overseas exchange opportunities, that would help a student obtain priceless educational experiences from another country. It would be an honor for me to have such a privilege, since being able to study under the best mentors from around the world would be lifetime experience, from which I would hold dear to their teachings throughout my life. For example, a biomedical science student goes over to India for an exchange, he/she observes the impact of a certain illness which cripples the society, this gives him/her impetus to develop a cure (research it at least) or at the very least, raise awareness about it and then seek help from people worldwide. As I have mentioned beforehand, these exchange opportunities (if given the privilege) would provide immeasurable life-changing experiences towards a person. .

Highlighting the previous point, another reason I want to enroll in Victoria University, is their hands-on exposure to a certain field of study (in this case law). This provides experiences towards the students, from which they can further understand the nature of his/her major/field. For example, on my third year in Victoria University’s Law & Justice Department, I am given the opportunity to participate in Victoria University’s court partnership program. Here I am given the opportunity to gain hands-on experiences from cases and get a better glimpse of my field (law) in its element, this would motivate myself to find solutions towards issues, and even dig deeper inside of my text books out of curiosity.

Therefore I wish to point out that Victoria University is truly an amazing university which cares for their student’s education as well as their futures (career/life after completing education). This is emphasized from the numerous programs they provide; one of which is the hands-on exposure to any field of study, partnerships with numerous overseas institutions; which provides overseas exchange opportunities, and their valued principles from which a student can build his/her character to be a better individual out in our society. Lastly I simply want to say how eager I am to experience law school in Victoria University in the upcoming semester, Thank You.
