It has, been variously called “applied science” and “design construction” but it is more commonly known as Engineering. Everyday object and activities differ from time to time as the science of engineering develops. An engineer is someone who relies on his creativity to create a technology of innovation. Some create things so significant everyone starts to rely on them on daily basis, such as our personal computer, transport, and much more. Engineering is such a vast yet still vigorously growing field of study. If I have the opportunity to study engineering, I would choose engineering physics.

As a student who has interest in and excels in the field study of physics, I have engaged in numerous competitions. From small internal-scale contests to the renowned national tournament, physics and mathematics has always been my subject of interest. Though graduation is still more than a year ahead, I believe there is nothing bad in preparing long before. As we know, there are infinitely many subtopics to learn in physics and I am particularly most interested in the field of classical mechanics. In outline, we observe how (dynamics) and why (kinematics) physical bodies or system of objects behave as they do. Creative problems always come across our worksheets. No matter how many sample problems we have done, there is always a distinct puzzle after another.

It is said that mathematics is the language of physics; above-average mathematic ability is not only helping, but also essential to understanding equations and variables. In search for conclusion means providing the most straightforward route to achieve conclusions thus yielding reasons. Such task can be done if and only if one has an introduction to variety of concepts such as logarithm, differential and integral, Taylor’s series, Maclaurin’s series, Fourier’s transform, matrix, binomial newton, and etcetera. Though my mathematics might not be the best, I am enthusiastic to learn more along the way.

Qualified engineering physicists have the best job opportunities among other engineering subjects. I believe we can agree that one’s discipline of choice must consider his career prospect to the future. Unlike usual engineering disciplines, engineering physics is not necessarily limited to a particular branch of science. Instead, engineering physics means to provide a more thorough primary training in applied physics for a selected field of concern such as classical mechanics, relativity, optics, particle physics, quantum physics, energy, and etcetera. Qualified engineering physicists with a degree in engineering physics can work professionally as engineers or physicists in high technology industries as well as academia.

It might seem like engineering physics is someone’s idea of a cruel joke—combining two of the toughest majors into one. Nevertheless, it is worth the pain. As our world is developing rapidly, people advance in terms of culture and lifestyle. Here grows the demand on innovations, ingenious state-of-the-art technologies. Thus, the future will be full of new opportunities for engineers. In addition, Queen Elizabeth II once said, “At its heart, engineering is about using science to find creative practical solutions. It is a noble profession”.
